Before start
Accurate Data:
Choosing the right location: Look for an open sky area with the least obstruction possible over the GNSS antenna to get optimal results during the alignment process.
Additional Information for Step 1:
1.1 Defining a precise coordinate point: It is important to select a point with precise coordinates within the polygon or area of interest that does not exceed 10 km distance.
1.2 Antenna Setup: Make sure to configure the antenna to capture data at minimum 1 second intervals. Also ensure the antenna is capable of tracking both GPS and GLONASS constellation signals for more comprehensive coverage.
1.Firmware update
Updating your Explorer R's firmware is easy - just connect using a USB to Ethernet LAN adapter:

WIFI Access
When the LiDAR System is powered on, it will be in router mode and broadcast a Wi-Fi network with the name "lidarit30052,"
On your mobile device, search for the Wi-Fi network "lidarit30052" and connect to it. The connection password is "lidarituser." When entering the password, a message may appear saying this network does not have an internet connection. You should accept this message to continue with the process and use it as a control interface.

7.Default offsets and rotations.
This Unit comes pre-configured with default offset settings for common drones, vehicles, and backpacks.
In the drones menu, options include Freefly Alta X, DJI M600, M300, M210. For vehicles and the portable mapping backpacks.
Selecting one of these pre-set options will automatically load the precisely measured sensor offset values for that specific model.
8. Camera setup
NOTE: This has 3 main options. Shutter speed, ISO, and capture ratio. The quality of the images will depend on the configuration of these parameters.
9. Project Name:
Return to the main tab, enter the project name (do not use spaces or special characters), and click on "SET PROJECT NAME.
2. Set project name.
10. Recording Destination:
In the "Save to" tab, select "USB STORAGE."
If the recording destination is set to "local storage," the captured information may have gaps.

11. Connect.
After creating the project, make sure to verify that the PPS and NMEA statuses are "OK." Once this validation is complete, proceed to click the "CONNECT" button.

12. Waiting Azimuth
In the Inertial Solution state, wait for the message to switch to "WAITING AZIMUTH." If the inertial solution state is different, refrain from initiating the alignment process. Instead, relocate the unit to an area with better open-sky conditions to enhance satellite observation, and then proceed to restart the process.

14. Straight Line.
Move forward in a straight line with the equipment at a speed between 15 - 24 ft/second for 300ft.
(Note: During the movement, the message will change to "MOTION DETECT," but this is due to the equipment's motion; do not stop.)

15. Figure Eight Pattern.
Perform a figure-eight pattern and verify that the status changes to "SOLUTION GOOD." If it hasn't changed, keep the equipment stationary for 5 seconds and repeat the figure-eight pattern until you achieve the "SOLUTION GOOD" status.
16. Figure Eight Pattern.
When mission is completed, you should repeat the figure-eight and position the equipment for the straight-line operation.
17. Straight Line.
Move forward in a straight line with the equipment at a speed exceeding 1 meter per second for 10 seconds.
(Note: After completing the straight line, proceed with the shutdown procedure without turning the equipment.)
18. Stop Recording.
Press the STOP button to halt the LiDAR data recording. The trajectory data continues to be recorded.
